Hold Me With Care

This is the opening
where a path begins.
It leads to an empty room where
we may repair what is broken.

I breath the clean air of grace
as we walk the path, but the bitter
taste of harm I've done to others
still lingers on my tongue.

Let me share the imperfect
earthly vessels
given at birth.
Mine were nurtured and grew
to accept your affections.

Do you see how I
spread before you in
complete surrender?

All that I am is yours, and I trust that
you’ll hold me with care.
