Dust of Snow
Fox like movements,
elude
the
laments,
Suddenly
on
a path, out into the vast,
when
in a burst, a family
of
deer, was there
first,
making a steep leap into the brush, leaving a flush, into the know
of dust
of
snow.

In Texas right now it is deer hunting season.
Everyone is out to get some venison to make
deer meat or jerky - which I love btw.
Reminds me of my dad and when he would go hunting.
Sometimes I'm conflicted about it - I love deer.
The poem made me think of all of the deer out right now.
Jumping fences and dashing into the country.

I believe that animals...
Or...
Most animals...
Exist in a perpetual state of transcendence...
Something like that...
like angels on earth sort of thing...
With a grace that removes them from
human based complexities...
Perhaps...
