Lost Innocence

Young girl sitting down alone in the park  
 
Playing happily with her toys without a care.
She keeps playing with her toys, but doesn’t feel the winds change.  
Suddenly, a dark figure approaches out of nothingness.  
 
The girl doesn’t notice the footsteps of the mysterious shadow coming towards  
her.  
The shadow touches her arm and asks her “Where are your parents young one?”.
She kindly responds “I don’t really know sir”, while facing towards him in the eye.  
 
He makes a smirking gesture, while his eyes turned completely black, such as if  
something rotten was taking over him.  
He asks her if she wants to return to her beloved parents.
The girl without a second thought said “Yes!, I would love to see them again.”.
 
   
As she said her respond, he grabs her by the arm and starts to walk away.
They were holding hands as they were walking, no one around, till they reached a small forest up ahead.  
The girl believed that the forest seemed scary and backed off, not wanting to go for anything in the world.  
But the shadow pushes her in with great strength, which cause her to fall down on her knees.
 
 
 She screams in pain and instantly starts to shed tears on her youthful face.
As the shadow sees the girl cry, he quickly smirks and gets on top of her and pins her down.
Both are staring at each other eyes, seeing deep within like if it was their inner soul.
 
The girl feel uncomfortable, desperately wishes to be set free from his grasp.  
But he doesn’t obey her orders, and keep her lock in his hands.
She struggles for her freedom with all her might.  
But sadly fails in attempt to escape from its clutches.  
 
As she tries to escape, the shadow plays with her like she was a toy.  
A toy, an object that has no life, just a tool to fulfill its pleasure as much as it wishes.
She shrieks in horrible pain as her life’s one time treasure it taken away by such a brute unloving force.  
 
Wishes to end this, hoping it was “nightmare” and not reality.
 
Nothing but the screams and crying of the girl can be heard within the forest.
   
The creatures around don’t have the courage to help her out.
But she decided not to take anymore of this and gather inner strength to attack back.  
Pushes the shadow away from her, as soon as she does this, she runs away.
 
Runs and runs for her life in such a haste.
 
Her heartbeat is like a drummer who has their adreline pressure high.  
As she runs, loses breath making her more weaker as she was before.
While the shadow gets up and runs after her at high speed to catch up time that was lost.  
The girl feels like she can’t keep up any longer.
 
Thinking of giving upon everything and leave this as they were.
But doubts if it’s a good or bad choice to make in a moment like this.  
She decided to keep on going no matter what ends to be her fate now.
 
While the shadow still has her in his sights, moving in close.  
But realizes he won’t be able to catch up to her at this point.
He decided to take out a small object and point towards her.
 
As she runs and runs almost out of the forest and sees the light  
-BANG!-  
That was the last sound that the young girl had heard…
