My Dear Frankie

You smile so proud
Your eyes are so blue
I looked at you and sunk deep into lust.
The touch of your hand as it brushed mine,
sent chills down my spine the very first time.
I wanted no man ever again,
until we touched that first day,
and my head started to spin.
Your voice is mesmerizing
and it invited me in.
So we went to a beach, my first time to swim.
I'm not gna to lie,
our first date was terrible.
One for the books, as they'd say.
It's the date that would keep others at bay.
But, it kept me intrigued and we still had fun.
We spent as much time as we could, all night in the sun.
Mr Cody trotted and played,
while in the sand we laid.
After being scratched by a snail, attacked by a shark, and chased by bugs in a bunch.
A dog fight also happened
this tale all in one night.
But still, my head and my heart followed its hunch.
As scary as it was, and all full of fear.
My heart denied what my head tried to hear.
Your hugs are warm.
Your kisses are passionate.
And yet I treated you with crass,
all because of our past.
My love is unconditional
And you deserve better.
This promise I give to you,
my heart is forever.
So I beg of you,
don't stomp on it, or send it to its grave.
For its because of you, it's out of the cave.
I'll move as many miles as it takes, again and again.
Just so you know, I've always been ALL IN.
My dear Frankie, I love you with all of my heart.
I only wish it could have been us first, instead of the others that kept us apart.
