All the Years and All the Kisses
The tree swayed as the wind blew
Seasons flew by
It was at that tree, they had stood
Where she had said "I love you."
Time had come and gone
So many things done and said
She had never been able to let go
Until today, her heart sang that goodbye
song.
She had held on to each memory
Never wanted to say, see you later or so long
Respect and trust, she held him high
But tonight, he was like a bird set free.
The Lord had shown her that no man
Was higher or better than Him
His kingdom would live forever
This she knew as she took her stand.
Thank you for everything, she wrote
For all the years and all the kisses
She said goodbye to this man whom
Above all, she had to forego.
