Cheeky
Such cheeky eyes, secret smiles, heart walking miles
I recognize the sly glide of someone looking through the smoke at the world like you’re the only one in on a private joke
I see reflections in you that I wish I saw when you were gone
It’s been so long
Mostly gratitude but with more than a hint of attitude
You are just like me, mostly without shoes
Little views making big impacts, in fact leaving broken things intact
Planting little gardens wherever you roam
There’s so much more I want to know
So very much more for us to grow
Light chases rainbows up and down the wide spaces
Calm places warm and green more leaves than live faces
Hard maces freeing truths from glass emergency cases
Selected soft secluded spots with the ocean only a few short paces
Feeling special to see your enlightened excited aura as it laces
Cheekily
