Brussel Sprouts.
Dreams of yesterday
when I was young
and autumn hung a moon
over the window
life was a potpie
and I was a Scout
but I didn't eat Brussel Sprouts
as mama gave a shout
dreams were in color
for boys and girls
and shadows were angels
that made my heart flutter
now in the winter of my life
I think of things I forgot...
perhaps I thought to much
and should have ate my Brussel Sprouts
when I was young
and autumn hung a moon
over the window
life was a potpie
and I was a Scout
but I didn't eat Brussel Sprouts
as mama gave a shout
dreams were in color
for boys and girls
and shadows were angels
that made my heart flutter
now in the winter of my life
I think of things I forgot...
perhaps I thought to much
and should have ate my Brussel Sprouts
