The Joy of Light
The light of life we have in thee
A gift from heaven it must be
Do not let the light go out
then the devil with glee will shout
Hold on tight to that joyous light
Then you'll have the clearest sight
For if dimmed you let it be
The devils hand he'll hold out for thee
For If his hand you should reach
You'll no longer have your speech
All from you he'll take away
No more light to shine the way
If for you this poem speaks
Then take your light out to the street
Share your light with those around
So satins hand no more will be found
A gift from heaven it must be
Do not let the light go out
then the devil with glee will shout
Hold on tight to that joyous light
Then you'll have the clearest sight
For if dimmed you let it be
The devils hand he'll hold out for thee
For If his hand you should reach
You'll no longer have your speech
All from you he'll take away
No more light to shine the way
If for you this poem speaks
Then take your light out to the street
Share your light with those around
So satins hand no more will be found
