In the face of adversity

Do what you love and the money will follow
Do what makes you happy and what brings joy in your life
Do it in the face of all the haters and detractors
All those that didn’t believe in you
Even the ones that doubted everything about you
Just do it, because it’s what you really want in life
It’s what your aiming for
Do it in the face of those who slammed the door in your face
Make them wish they never messed with you in the first place
Make the people who never wanted to work with you feel them pain you felt
Being excluded, denied and turned away
Make them feel what it was like being denied and left out
Make them feel excluded and never included in the first place.
When you make them suffer for what your’ve gone though
You make them feel all the hurt, pain, trauma and anger that you felt
That you never got to do the things that everyone else did
That you fought like hell and fought hard to have a place at the table
When you work so hard to create your own table
Make your table so shiny and so bright that they would beg to be in the same table with you
When everyone else didn’t want you at theirs in the first place.
Make them think why they didn’t want you at their shitty table
While yours is bright, shiny from all the hard work, sweat and tears that you did
Make them feel what it means to do what you love the most
Make them feel all the dirt that was thrown at me being thrown at them
Above all, make the people feel the hurt of not being included
Make people feel what you’ve been though to get to where your at and they ain’t
