Dreaming
If I should drift off tonight
then please just let me go.
Where that should be
I have yet to know
but it will be somewhere with you,
of this I have been assured.
In a song I was told this
by a singing bird
and it said for that moment
I would be yours and you mine.
We would dance under starlight
and everything would be fine.
So if I drift there, you see
just let me be for a while
because I will be dreaming of you
while wearing a smile.
