A Life Gone By
I've lived a life
That's been hardly worth living
There have been no real
Worthwhile discoveries
Or enlightening moments
Plenty of sadness and anxiety
But no happiness that touched
My heart so deeply
That my eyes shone like the sun
It grates on me
And pushes me low
To look back and see nothing
Only to turn to the future
And see less
On my horizons

hello dearest poet it is very difficult to watch happiness from afar and not feel it for yourself... I don't know why this happens...I tried for a normal life but all roads were blocked for me...I feel I have experienced what I was supposed to even if it wasn't what I wanted...I hope other worlds are open to me in the future both in this life and the next because I'm sure I've lived many times...I hope there is beauty in your life if not happiness...
