keen
my starlit disaster keens in the dark
where I keep company with ghosts
bleeding nothingness I gather my secrets
and eat them with a bitter chaser
swallowing the lies I tell myself to believe
tiny scars speak truth
cuts inflicted by life's trials
soul to soul I whisper honesty
drinking the loneliness down
holding beauty hostage
I ask her for one more dance
my starlit disaster keens alone in the dark
it's a little darker now
