Inspire Life

You inspire my soul in so many ways
Lifting my heart and raising my spirit
No small resurrection occurred through your words
Which alone could have saved my declining life
Breathing breath into my rotting stiff corpse
Aching near broken cold bones
Chattering like skeletons dangling in Winter's winds
Almost pushed me into the afterlife
Until you inspired the essence of whatever was left of lonely old me
To embrace the love you wrapped around my silent heart
Till the beat once again pulsed with warm adrenaline
You are an angel sent to revive my life
Before it became an after thought of the Reaper in black robes
Turning Halloween into Snoopy's last dogfight in a fiery flight
My hero, my angel, making flames into feathers
Landing me safely in a patch of great big pumpkins
As the morning arrived with rays of daylight
