Sultry Dancing

 

In the darkest corner
Of the seediest pit
In the deepest underground,
He takes me against him;
His flamed hands
Searing my flesh.
In my life I have sinned
And tonight,
I will attune for them
To the sultry salsa beat.
Pinned against him
He makes me relive
Every horror,
Every regret,
Every mistake.
The pain intensifies
At every crescendo.
Every staccato
Pierces my heart.
The closeness is
Overwhelming
But I cannot look at him,
For I know that my death
Is etched in his eyes.
The music climaxes
As we twirl in a tight circle,
Hard to believe
We are not alone.
In my life I have sinned
And for them I will attune
For I'm dancing with the devil
