I’m hugging you,
From behind.
My arms, coiled around your waist.
My head rested
on it’s side
On the back of
Your shoulder.
You’re sitting down,
Cross-legged.
My legs are stretched out
Just past yours.
Like a Koala.
Stop breathing,
For a moment.
Feel my chest
Rising and falling
Against the wings of your back.
Wait another moment.
Feel my heart beat
Drumming right
Into your spine.
Open your eyes,
breathe again.
Smell the fresh spring air.
A mixture of unruly grass
And moist flowers
Sprinkled amongst
The occasional blooming tree.
Feel the sun beating down.
Wave after wave
Of searing heat
That travelled trillions
Of miles.
Just to get to you.
And me.
