Sunrise
you rise with the dawn
my love
the wisps of your hair catch the sun
honey golden
as the softest glow fills the room
and I wait for the last vestiges of the deep black of night which clothes you
to fall away
scattered like pools of shadow about the room
and soon forgotten
in the beauty the light reveals
its said
'tis perilous to go to near the heat of of the sun
but I have gazed too long
and am blind to all else
save you
come and arch over me
my love
so I can feel your heat rising
in the first blush of the dawn
and taste the glistening dew of the womb of the morning
my love
the wisps of your hair catch the sun
honey golden
as the softest glow fills the room
and I wait for the last vestiges of the deep black of night which clothes you
to fall away
scattered like pools of shadow about the room
and soon forgotten
in the beauty the light reveals
its said
'tis perilous to go to near the heat of of the sun
but I have gazed too long
and am blind to all else
