A Calming Performance

As the light stings the darkened sky, the cannon shot booms across the open landscape.
I hear the slamming of the light water against my window and slowly sink back into the void.
The silence between the thunders is my favorite. The lack of sound after the crushing cacophony and force caused by nothing shocks you to your soul.
The illumination provided by the lightening gives new meanings to night-life.
The world hiccups but I don’t want it to eat peanut butter or hold its breath. It may be a strike but I wish it was only one pin out of a million.
When it rains, I always want it to last forever because I never have felt calmer than when I’m lying under the rain in a field listening and seeing the calls of the gods.
Maybe I’m disturbed or maybe I have a death wish. But, the ground is so boring when sprayed with simple sunlight and it deserves more life.
