oddity in color coalescing in blood letting
I scream to the skies

"let me fly"

my soul reaches out
it rises only so far
then I feel my mortal restraints
anger unfurls, I am a kept woman
I both glory in this and feud

my jealousy picked

I am told it doesn't feel good does it?

I am reprimanded
I shapeshift and take on the man himself,
as a man would
hand to hand in battle we wrestle

my licks are taken
points are made
I realize something in my arrogance
in this illusions I leave myself open to jest

I don't wish to sit alone, a party for one
I pray I evolve into something lovely someday
