Image for the poem the maddening time

the maddening time

I call to you from where you are
you don't hear me
my soul slips and I am saddened
it's the maddening silence that gets me

so in tune with your movement
I feel when you come near and when you depart

angel of mercy where are you?

in my gentleness crushed
hush a bye it's my madness calling
pulling me back from the brink
don't stare too long at where he was, woman
he may not be coming back

tiny thoughts brittle with a feeling break
in my solemn I am torn
I want to walk into the bleak and find you
but I am just a child of the universes compared to you
the wolves are waiting at the door for me to enter the void

I tremble then with authority come in
I will find you
