Caught Up
Tired of pining over a love that was never mine
My love for you was all heart, but I existed solely in your mind
I thought that you were the code for my universal design
I can't get the image of you as cosmic love embodied out of my mind
Soaring through my life colliding with both mind and heart
I kept entering your vortex being ripped apart
What you consider love, was like a meteor shower
Constantly pounding me, draining me of all powers
The strength that I need to function as a normal being
A force like you was never before in existence seen
You took me back to when existence was a dot
The word Yes was given and my soul was caught
But my soul was immature, having never been disembodied
And it was tortured and abused once you finally caught it
Shit the flesh could hear as it's soul screamed
As you show it your true self shattering it's dreams
To have it crawl back to weak to unify with it's flesh
It's bound for limbo, while my flesh faces death
Crawling together towards a mirror's portal
We crawl through to the outside only to become mortal
Reunited, soul and flesh, bounded as one
Sitting in front of this mirror, both wrist bleeding, is how it begun
I've taken some many pills, why not take another one
Since I'm stuck here on earth and can't embrace the sun
Yes the pain was there, but now I realize it was oh so sweet
The games that you played, I realize that I needed the deceit
My soul, my flesh, being drained of power
We both now long for you to drain us of power
I'm simply closing my eyes to feel the sting of your touch
As you claw at my soul for enjoying it to much
You sing the songs that the sirens sang
My soul and I succumb and we're caught up again
My love for you was all heart, but I existed solely in your mind
I thought that you were the code for my universal design
I can't get the image of you as cosmic love embodied out of my mind
Soaring through my life colliding with both mind and heart
I kept entering your vortex being ripped apart
