Rulena, Goddess of Darkness and Disruptions

Winter Queen and Dark Moon Oaths:

She brought more than disruption to the village of Fyrebend, a small town in the district of Kaladorei, in a new state added to the first 50 in the USA. A remote island newly formed by recent upheavals of the earth's crust during a moon eclipse event as well as a major earthquakes under the Gulf of Mexico.  The country of Athea is a vast country with a population of 13968566 humans.

Athea itself is mainly covered in volcanic mountains and has a tropical climate, which has lead to a splayed out population, therefore, a lot of small villages and towns, and only one city, the capital of the island, Limegulf.

Kaladorei has a progressing economy, which is mainly supported by blacksmithing, alchemy and woodcrafting. But their biggest strengths are refined carpenting and delicate woodcrafting.

However, Kaladorei lacks people skilled in beer brewing.

Naturally, these natural events sparked some new superstitions amongst first generation inhabitants, of mixed race, although mainly South American and Eurasian descent, there were a few redheads in the local genome strains.

For all this the goddess Rulena tired, looking for lovers amongst humans was insanely complicated. She found it difficult to find lovers of any sort or form.

Rulena is depicted as a half human reptilian on altars everywhere.  Reptilians are too cold to be bothered about and so no gods of equal standing could be found as lovers, since she is the first of her dietific kind. She instead opted to focus on death and letting go the hearts of the lovelorn over to her services.  Oaths and chants were the only required service and thus, even those that didn't abide by them were merely ignored.

They prayed constantly and swore oaths of dedication and chanted Rulena's songs at evening sunsets in every Shrine. Upon her altars they would place green leaves from her favorite orchids and flowers burned in her honor.

In spite of her allowances an occassional human became bereft of service and left the island in search of other lands. That is when dragons were seen carrying them off to strange destinations and fates. Their wings painted the sunsets with every imaginable color and hue, far beyond even the most beautious of natures palettes.

Author's Note
A new goddess story, new goddess for a new age. Maybe?! I don't know where I'm going with this or if I'll scrap it.
