I See You When You Get There

KL HOTEL AND CASINO

Minsk, Belarus

Shaylynn and Natasha entered through the doors of KL Hotel and Casino.

“I do not have any small change to gamble.”

“Do you at least have a dollar to place in a dollar slot machine?”

Natasha opened her purse and rambled around in it. She pulled out a dollar.

“Yes.”

“Here let me see that.”

Natasha handed Shaylynn the dollar bill and closed her purse back.

“Thanks, now follow me.”

Natasha and Shaylynn walked around the spacious casino floor. Shaylynn stopped every now and then to assess a slot machine.

Natasha glanced around the congested casino. She looked at the aligned slot machines.

“I think we have a winner here. Keep your fingers crossed.”

“They are crossed.”

Shaylynn slid the dollar into the slot machine. She pulled the lever down and closed her eyes.

Several lights went off.

Shaylynn opened her eyes.

The red siren atop of the slot machine was twirling and loudly ringing.

“We won. Oh my God, we won.”

Shaylynn looked down at the slot machine.

The total payout was twenty-five thousand dollars.

Two security officers walked over to Shaylynn and Natasha.

“Ma’am, you two need to come with us.”

“We just won.”

“Ma’am, that machine is out of order, and has not been maintenance.”

“Pardon me, but I slipped my dollar into this machine, pulled the lever, and it states my friend and I have won twenty-five thousand dollars.”

“This way please.”

Shaylynn and Natasha were ushered out the casino over to a private elevator.

Kincaid Livoski Sr. looked at his surveillance screen. He scratched his head at the dilemma.

“Are you sure that particular slot machine is broken.”

“Yes, sir, I put in a maintenance ticket on it two days again.”

“Then dammit! Is there a logic reason as to why it wasn’t ticketed, as out of order?”

“Mr. Livoski, that particular slot machine was covered earlier.”

There was a knock at the door.

“Come in.”

The door was opened.

The two security officers entered Mr. Livoski’s office.

Shaylynn and Natasha followed.

Both security officers stood by the door.

“Come in ladies.”

Shaylynn entered.

Natasha was reluctant in the beginning.

“Come closer.”

One security officer leaned over and pushed the door close.

Shaylynn grabbed Natasha’s hand and both women moved closer to the desk.

“Yes sir.”

“Ladies, it appears we have a problem.”

“I’m sorry, what kind of problem sir?”

“Your winnings are invalid.”

Shaylynn looked into the reflection of dark-brown eyes. His dark-blue tailored suit fitted impeccably over his broad shoulders. The man’s angular facial features placed her on eggshells. His eyes were so penetrating. A faint mustache paid homage to lips, which would please a woman’s lips. Damn, his eyes were so familiar. His crop of jet-black tight ringlets was glossed and dangling in a secured ponytail streaming down his back.

Mr. Livoski stood.

“And your name young lady

“My…my name is...Penny.”

“Well Penny, there will be no winnings. In addition, to apologize for the mistake. I will provide you with a hotel room for the night, and a five hundred dollar chip, for you and your friend. You may use it, as you please.”

“That would be payment enough sir.”

“Please take these two young ladies to the cage and reward them both with a five hundred dollar chip.”

“Thank you, sir.”

Mr. Livoski, looked down at Shaylynn’s breasts, and then up into her eyes.

“Forgive an old man for saying, but I’ve seen your face somewhere.”

“I’m sorry sir, but we have never met. Are you ready, Rosita?”

“Yes.”

Shaylynn and Natasha walked to the door.

The security officer opened the door.

The other security officer escorted them out the office and to the private elevator.

“That went smooth.”

“At least we have a free hotel room, and a five hundred dollar chip. Are you ready to go and gamble?”

“Yes,” Natasha answered

Shaylynn looked around.

“Hey, let’s try something different. How about the Russia Roulette table?”

“Oh, I’m very good at that.”

Both women walked in the direction of the Roulette table.

Mr. Livoski looked over his financial reports for the quarter. His casino has reaped the reward. Maybe he can retire next year. Something his wife has been asking him to consider.

Someone pounded on the door.

“Dammit, what is it now!”

Mr. Livoski placed the ink pen back inside the ink pen-holder.

He stood up.

“Come in.”

Four security officers ran in into Mr. Livoski’s office, including the Casino Floor Manager.

“Mr. Livoski, those two women, who you provided a hotel room, and a five hundred dollar chip. Is…”

“Is what dammit!”

“Is cleaning up at the table.”

“After the five hundred dollar chip is gone, those two will get bored and most likely leave. Remember they are still responsible for paying the taxes on the room, and no money, means no food to eat.”

Everyone in Mr. Livoski’s office looked at each other.

“Mr. Livoski, the beautiful woman with the short red dress on, has won over one million dollars, and it does not look like she is slowing down.”

“Are you fucking serious!”

“Yes sir.”

Mr. Livoski stood, scurried around his desk, and ran to the surveillance screen. The security officer zoomed the surveillance lens around the casino.

The camera lens zoomed in on Shaylynn’s hand.

The crowd around the table was cheering Shaylynn on.

Mr. Livoski looked over at the other woman, who was drowning her emotions in a drink.

“I need you to get those two women back up here. They are nothing but fucking scam artists!”

“How about the five hundred dollar chip.”

“Which I will revoke. Anything over five hundred dollars we confiscate, and then we will call the police.”

“Yes sir.”

“Shaylynn, we can buy a yacht and sail the sea.”

“How about…” Shaylynn placed one million dollars in chips on the number eight red. “Spin it please.”

The Coulter looked around the casino. Where was security, the woman was making him appear as if he was cheating for her.

“Can you spin it please?”

“Spin it...Spin it,” the crowd around the table chanted in union.

The Coulter spent the wheel.

The white ball floated around the wheel.

Shaylynn held her breath. Natasha closed her eyes

“Number eight red.”

“The patron wins again.”

“Yes.”

Natasha and Shaylynn jumped up and down.

“We won.”

The two women hugged each other.

“You ladies need to come with us.”

Shaylynn and Natasha broke away from each other.

“Pardon me.”

“You ladies need to come with us.”

Shaylynn looked at the two security officers

“I’m sorry I will leave this table, after I’ve collected my winning chips.”

“No winnings will be collected.”

“Excuse me.”

“Everyone, please go about your usual business,” one of the security officers bellowed.

STARLIGHT RESORT AND CASINO

Minsk, Belarus

“Mr. Pachinko, I need someone down here, pronto. I have two women. Well one of them have won over one million dollars at the Roulette table.”

“Could it be a scam?”

“I watched the woman’s hands; she made no eye contact with the Coulter, and earlier, she set off a slot machine, and won twenty-five thousand dollars.”

Matao palmed his cheeks down.

“And you witnessed the winnings with your very own eyes.”

“I swear on the life of Big Juan, and Boss this woman is a real looker, I mean over-the-top extremely gorgeous.”

“And you have never seen either one of the two.”

“I have been canvassing this casino for years, and I have never seen her, or anyone win a bet at each and every spin. It’s fucking creepy.”

“Yes and very profitable, if she works for us.”

“Oh, she is an American.”

“Stay on this woman, and her friend, until I get there. If someone is trying to scam the casinos out of millions, then I assume she is working for someone.”

“I got it boss.”

Matao hung up the telephone.

KL HOTEL AND CASINO

Minsk, Belarus

“Ladies, this is becoming a problem.”

“I would like to know, what scam you two are running in my casino.”

Shaylynn looked over at the two burly men who guarded the door. One unbuttoned his suit jacket. Shaylynn saw the gun at his hip.

She looked at the man sitting at the table. His eyes pierced hers, yet so familiar.

“Sir, I won that money fair and square. I am not running any games or any scams at your casino.”

“Liar!” Mr. Livoski barked.

Shaylynn and Natasha jumped.

“I will gladly give the money back to you, but my friend and I have to get back to Moscow by tomorrow afternoon.”

“If you two do not tell me who is behind this shit. You will not see Moscow, and then I would have you both arrested for fraud. I’m sure, I could think of several other charges related to your scam. Now, I ask you once again who is behind this.”

Shaylynn looked at Natasha. She stepped forward.

“I am sir, but please let me friend go, she has nothing to do with this.”

Natasha looked at Shaylynn. She stepped forward.

“I am the person responsible for this. She is an American, here on a visa.”

Mr. Livoski looked from one to the other. He banged his hand down on the table.

“Well, it appears you both will suffer!”

“Please, I swear I won my winnings fair and square.”

“Well you would have to convince a judge of that.”

“No police, please. We have to get back to Moscow. Why want you believe me.”

“Mr. Livoski I say call the police.”

“Wait, are you Kincaid’s father?”

“You know my son.”

“Yes.”

“Mr. Livoski, everyone knows you have a son, I say call the police.”

“Yes.”

Mr. Livoski reached forward for the telephone base, lifted the receiver from out the cradle, and then dialed a series of numbers. He placed the receiver up to his ear

LIVOSKI HOTEL AND CASINO

Las Vegas, Nevada

Kincaid walked around the conference room. His financial advisers looked at the projected summary of his casino and hotel’s fiscal budget.

“Mr. Kincaid, your monetary gains is well expected, and ten percent greater than the year before.”

“Thank you, gentlemen.”

There was a knock at the door.

Kincaid laid his financial report down on the table. He looked over at the door.

“Come in.”

Geoffrey opened the door and peeped his head inside.

“Mr. Livoski, you have a call on your private line.”

“Geoffrey, can you take a message.”

“It’s your father sir.”

“Excuse me gentlemen.”

Kincaid walked to the door and exited the conference room. He walked down the hallway, rounded the corner, and then entered his office. He walked over to his desk and lifted the telephone receiver. He placed it up to his ear.

“Hello father.”

KL HOTEL AND CASINO

Minsk, Belarus

“Hello, I would like to report two women, who are accused of trying to scam my hotel.”

“Father, is everything all right.”

“One of the women has scammed my hotel out of one million dollars, and I would like to have the police summoned to my casino.”

“Father is someone there trying to rob you.”

“Yes, a woman and she have an accomplice, who is trying to bulk my establishment for over one million dollars.”

“Any weapons on either.”

“No.”

“Do you want me to get someone down at the casino?”

“Yes, the police, however, one of the women are claiming she knows my son.”

“She knows me.”

“According to her, yes.”

“Do not believe it.”

“I thought that’s what you will say.”

“Father, have these crooks arrested.”

“Such a shame to see her and her accomplice go to jail.”

“Scam artists deserve everything they reap.”

“Well, I would not keep you. I will expect the police to arrive, and to add insult to injury, this establishment has issued a five hundred dollar chip for the earlier mishap of a broken slot machine.”

Mr. Livoski darted his eyes over in Shaylynn’s direction.

“Father, is these two scam artists anyone I could be familiar with?”

“I’m not sure of any previous criminal acts. The conspirator’s name is.” Mr. Livoski lifted the two identification cards from off his table. “A Natasha, and the ringleader, is a Shaylynn Forrester.”

The phone slipped out of Kincaid’s hand onto his desk.

“Shit.”

He leaned down and picked it back up. He clumsily replaced the receiver back up to his ear.

“Father that woman… Shaylynn, in your office is my future wife, and your future daughter-in-law.”

Kincaid ran his hand back through his hair.

“And you know about this.”

“Father, I would explain everything to you once I arrive. However, I need you to listen very closely, just reply with a simple yes or no.”

“Yes.”

“Was Shaylynn gambling in open population, or in one of the private saloons?”

“Open.”

“Do me a favor. Walk over to the surveillance screen, without letting anyone in as to what you are doing and see if Matao or any of his men are in your casino.”

Mr. Livoski rushed over to the surveillance screen. He studied different angles of his surveillance screens. He saw. Matao Pachinko walk into his casino, where several of his men met him, and congregated.

“Yes.”

“Father, I need for you to somehow get Shaylynn and her friend out the casino. Moreover, Shaylynn is not a swindler. She has an unusual gift, which I do not have time to explain. I will be on the next plane. Remember, you are still talking to the authorities.”

“Yes.”

“Father, guard Shaylynn well, as if she was my mother.”

“Yes.”

Mr. Livoski replaced the receiver back in the cradle.

“I need to question these two further. I need everyone to clear my office.”

All four security officers looked at one another.

“Mr. Livoski, you do not want either one of us to stay.”

“No, the police are on the way. I need everyone downstairs, and no one is allowed up on this floor, for no reason.”

“Yes sir.”

Everyone moved to the door. One of the security officers pulled the door close.

Matao and his men moved around the casino.

“Where is this woman, and her co-conspirator?”

“Boss, they were just here.”

“Mr. Pachinko, we checked the private saloon, no American woman fitting the description.”

“Did she leave?”

“No boss, I had some of my men cover all the exit doors and I was at the front door.”

The elevator doors open.

The two security officers stepped off.

“Boss, they were last seen with those two women.”

Matao, followed by his flock of men walked over to the elevators.

“It’s a shame Mr. Livoski, called the police; I would have loved to have slipped in that hotel room, and physically punished her for her dishonesty, stick my dick in the gorgeous cunt of hers.”

“Keep dreaming.”

Matao and his men blocked the two security officer’s advancement.

“Where are the two women who were detained in this hotel?”

“What two women, and who the fuck wants to know.”

Matao and his men pulled aside their suit jacket flaps aside and brandished their weapons.

“We can do this my way gentlemen, or the hard way. As I ask you kindly, where the fuck are these two women!”

“What’s in it for us?”

“Your life.”

“Mr. Livoski called the police on those two scam artist bitches.”

Matao stepped closer to one of the security officers.

“What floor were these two women taken too?”

“I do not know.”

One of Matao’s men punched the security officer in his stomach. The security officer slightly doubled over.

“Please do not make Mr. Hangman mad, he has no conscious when it comes to killing. Now where the fuck were they taken too!”

“Mr…Livoski’s office.”

The security officer coughed.

“What floor.”

“The top floor.”

“If I find out I was lied too. I will come back, and plant a bullet between both of your eyes. Let’s go and pay Mr. Livoski a social visit.”

Everyone walked in the direction of the elevators.

One of Matao’s bodyguard pushed the up button.

“Come ladies, time is of importance.”

“What is going on Mr. Livoski?”

“I need you to take this.”

Mr. Livoski lifted an ink pen and scribed something on a piece of paper. He opened his top desk drawer and lifted two keys; he wrapped them inside the piece of paper and shoved it into Shaylynn’s hand.

“Take this, and I will explain everything to you later. One of those keys fits the suite to the dancers’ wardrobe closet. Change, leave the suite, and then take the private elevator down to G. When you step off. My chauffeur will be waiting for you. I will see you two later, now go.” Mr. Livoski looked over at his surveillance screens. “Now.”

Shaylynn and Natasha hurried out the back entrance to Mr. Livoski’s office.

Mr. Livoski slid his side bottom desk drawer back and removed two 9mm semi-automatic weapons. He stuffed them inside the back of his pants waistband.
