How long do you stare at her
after trying so hard to get her to rest
How long do you hold her
With her mouth to your nipple and breast
How tired have you been
when rocking her to sleep at night
How many tears have you cried
feeling guilty, after the smallest fight
How many years did you wait for this
not knowing how much you misunderstood
How many times did your heart fill up
from every moment of motherhood.
