Solar Flare
It's a peculiar feeling when you realize
all that you are
cannot fit in the confines of your skin.
There's so much I don't understand,
even
where I end
and
the rest of the world begins,
When emotions breach the seawall
I wonder if waves roll off of me
like CME's from the sun
surges of despair or rage
instead of solar plasma.
The burden of perspective
weighs heavy in my soul, by
views of eyes not mine and
truths of hearts outside my chest.
As the sun broils and burns
so too does my core:
electromagnetic disturbances
lash out from dark spots.
An invisible storm,
not seen
but felt.
all that you are
cannot fit in the confines of your skin.
There's so much I don't understand,
even
where I end
and
the rest of the world begins,
When emotions breach the seawall
I wonder if waves roll off of me
like CME's from the sun
surges of despair or rage
instead of solar plasma.
The burden of perspective
weighs heavy in my soul, by
views of eyes not mine and
truths of hearts outside my chest.
As the sun broils and burns
so too does my core:
electromagnetic disturbances
lash out from dark spots.
An invisible storm,
not seen
but felt.
