The Diamond
The Diamond
The diamond feels warm in the palm of my hand.
It has had me reflect and helped me understand.
Sometimes it is clear, other times milky gray
but it has never failed in showing the way.
Now the diamond I hold in passing to you
in knowing and trusting you know what to do.
There is fear in your eyes.
I assure you are fine.
Take the diamond and trust for your heart is divine.
Pay attention to the color.
It is the diamond's voice.
It will guide you in dark times to times you will rejoice.
All it asks is respect,
to be treated in turn.
If this is not given it cannot help you learn.
From where comes the diamond many have tried to find.
Some have been driven to the point of losing their mind.
In truth it does not matter as it is a gift to us all
should we listen we may pass on if we answer the call.
I have had the diamond now it is my time to share.
Once touching the diamond you find it is always there.
There is no better feeling than the diamond inside.
I have hopes you will accept it for there is no reason to hide.
Please hold out your hand for the diamond, this metaphor.
I believe you know what it is though you may feel unsure.
Open your heart to the diamond.
Open your mind.
Let us learn from the past
as we leave it behind.
