Drop the hammer
Just fucking
do it.
I’m on a bed
of nails,
and I’m sure
you haven’t
pushed down
because you
don’t want to
have to
hear the blood
fill up my lungs.
But I do.
So I brought a
sledgehammer
in case of
emergency
squeamishness.
It should just
take one
good hit
to see the
light fade
from my eyes.
It should just
take one hit
to hear my
throat choke
out its last
gratitude.
Just one
good hit.
Wrap your
hands around
the handle,
raise it over
your head.
Let it drop.
Look away.
