Riders on the Storm 2.0

hello dearest Cipher I love the writing here
you know that song got me through the mental institution once upon a time...

I love the darkness here...

I really appreciate you sharing that Crim...

Even though it's horrific to be subjected
to institutions, such as these...

I think they can be centers for self empowerment...

And...  Knowing you...  I feel that may have been the case...

It is strange for me to think that there was
actually a time...

When I didn't really know who The Doors were...

I mean...  

The first time I heard their music,
I was a junior in HS...

I had just really started to toke...

(I had smoked a few times before...

But was sort of focused on athletics...)

My friend was a musical alchemist...
He had like...  Professional level equipment...
(Mixing board/Strobe lights/other cool machines)

We skipped school and smoked and I was So High...

He started playing some music...  

He played "The End"...  With the strobe light...

I went so deep into the song...

It changed me...

That summer was a transformational one...

It was like...  When Jim went to the desert...
And did acid...  And wrote...

I will never forget the energy of that summer...

I mean...  I felt very much isolated in electric...

There was this thrift bookstore I used to frequent...

By synchronicity I found a Morrison biography...

It was like his spirit was walking with me...

Talking with me...

At that time there was a variety of California Lucy...

Coming around...  It was a pure time...

I too...  Went to the desert...  Stayed in the desert...

As I feel you did...  As well...

And that is so beautiful...

That kind of solitude is heart achingly beautiful...

I always felt I knew Jim from another life his music is very personal to me... like I said he helped get through a really rough time in my life...The End I love that song deeply... Road house blues and Riders on the storm because I felt like that's what I was doing at that time in my life...I love the Doors and they were long before my time...I know I was somewhere else before 69 when I was born... perhaps a hippie perhaps in Vietnam I don't know I just know I was here... thank you for sharing your own experience with me...

There's always been something about The Doors... and Jim, that's just clicked for me....  
 
I remember harvesting buds off of my friends hydroponically grown weed he grew in his huge walk in closet, I mean his plants were enormous and there was like seven or eight good sixed ones to harvest; we were listening to The Doors Live and their cover of Gloria came on and that sealed the deal... I was utterly transfixed .... haha...  
 
I too, have read the biographies and many different books on Jim/The Doors. He's a great story, albeit an ultimately sad one, unfortunately.... perhaps a lesson on how hard fame can really be on people.
