She feels this way
*Note: Alright let's get into the story about this poem first! I was just spending some time with my best friend while she was talking to her boyfriend, during our whole video chat with him he described how he felt towards her and how much he loved her. (It almost made me cry!) So after we were done talking to him, she asked me if I could write something (that rhymed) about the way she felt towards him (Because apparently she thinks she has no "poetic potential" as she calls it.) and this is the result!
You’re my knight in shining armor.
My heart is what you conquer,
Your eyes,
They scream out wonders.
And in my head there’s a thought.
About how you’re heart is what I sought.
In the night sky,
I saw shooting star
Falling from afar.
Wishing upon that star,
Has healed my every scar.
Because in my path, you appeared,
And from my world; this darkness cleared.
From this day,
I will display,
My love for you is no child’s play.
Life as you live it,
Is simple and vivid.
With you by my side,
Is how I must die.
Because my love for you,
Is something new.
*End Note: This is the least I can do for her since she has ALWAYS been there for me no matter what the situation.
