Classical Sifton!

Soft! Near a bacchantic branch I find
A tiddly nymph with argental tresses
Whose kisses, sweeter than a melon rind
Or cider from Dionysiac presses,
Mix with the wild air of Queen Anne's lace
And the motor sounds of hummingbird beat
To orchestrate heaven around her face
In an afternoon of angelic heat...
As if to say that daylight can be fair;
A sweet and amber honeysuckle thing
That a nymph with her man would gladly share
For a flawless Hesperidean fling
Conspiring to keep a man at home
Happier...than the richest Kings of Rome!
