Wood Nymphs

wood nymphs play in the hollow
as I am walking by
enchanted here I watch and follow
as they hover and they fly

disappearing in the bushes
through which flows a brook
babbling and liquid whooshes -
standing still I look

and listen to the water flowing,
wind moving through the trees,
transfixed, inside something's glowing
every atom's pleased

by consciousness permutating
moving like the leaves-
resonant and radiating
a tantalizing tease

a vision of what's just beyond
with feet still on the ground -
wood nymphs play where they belong
here where I am found...
