A poet...Knows it
He pulled the cork with a moonlit screw
While inhaling the vaporous night
Which was a blend of wine and midnight dew
And maritime haze in a lunar light;
As soothing a blend as there ever was
And only possibly improved by jazz,
And the addition of a tryst, because,
Who could resist a lover's pizzazz?
A lover upon whom a moonbeam dotes
And who then will not appear at their best?
Someone, whereto the poet devotes...
Words his love has frequently caressed
As gloriously as Strawberry June
Romanticizes her brightest moon!
While inhaling the vaporous night
Which was a blend of wine and midnight dew
And maritime haze in a lunar light;
As soothing a blend as there ever was
And only possibly improved by jazz,
And the addition of a tryst, because,
Who could resist a lover's pizzazz?
A lover upon whom a moonbeam dotes
And who then will not appear at their best?
Someone, whereto the poet devotes...
Words his love has frequently caressed
As gloriously as Strawberry June
Romanticizes her brightest moon!
