I had 12 feet
of satin faced,
nylon tube
strapping
folded up
in my back
lefthand pocket.
She negotiated
a hog tie,
ending
in after care.
I laid my arm
across my knees
and caressed
her face.
She slept
for hours
as if
everything
and
nothing
had
happened.

Perhaps....once bound and released, the neurological catharsis of being bound leaves one both satisfied and at peace....and, as you indicate, satisfaction may be peacefulness, but how would we know?
