The Whispering Winds
There is a whisper in the winds tonight
The cool breeze flowing thru the tree leaves
A haunting silence understanding the mystery of the eerie illumination from beneath the street light .
There is a whisper in the winds tonight sentences writing over sentences muffled by the voices unspoken by the restlessness lying with their concious minds and eyes closed .
There is a whisper in the winds tonight , the clarity of the words said safe guarded by the walls that have kept you in with no exit , no windows and the knocking from the unknown figure from the outside , do not let them in , do not take down your walls.
There is a whisper in the winds tonight , and with an empty mind you can hear what the winds have to say , blow away your worries and start fresh for the next day .

Author's Note
This is about the worries that keep us up at night , the fear of change and needing to leave our safe spaces . It's supposed to start off riddled with confusion to emulate the pressures of a cluttered mind , the whisper in the winds is cluttered with uncertainty and as the poem reads on it becomes more clear that it's just all in your head and the winds of change are to be embraced and not feared . Hope this makes sense cos it does in my head x
