when i first read this, i read it thinking about women authors and thought you should have said mind instead of bodies. then i read it again and realized you might have been talking about stories that have been written about women and what it was that broke them. either way, i think this is well done.

Thank you for your kind and thoughtful words. If it helps, the thought that was in my head when I wrote this was about Roald Dahl’s introduction to his collection of famous ghost stories, wherein he talks about women’s importance to the genre, as well as the “Queens of Crime”, female writers who dominated the detective genre in the early 20th century.
