Abstract sonnet
My brain functions
But not on it's own
My heart beats
but not when it's alone
My toes curl
and dance with excitement
My spirit's changed
Cause you're my enlightenment
My voice sings
a new melody
My eyes twinkle
Because it's you I can see
My skin tingles with every touch
I just wanted to say: I love you very much!

Author's Note
I know it doesn't have a iambic patern or abreak of thought, but it is inspired by an sonnet. I'm going to write one with those rules another day.

Well I like it. Strictly speaking, no, it's not a Shakespearean sonnet, but it's close enough in structure that I think calling it a sonnet makes as much sense as anything else. I love sonnets and this shows a kindred spirit, plus I love the sentiment of the poem. Iambic can be tough to pick up on but the more Shakespeare you read and speak the better you will get. Meanwhile, this one is perfectly frameable!
