Breaking the Levee

The desires of your whole life rose like a swelling river pressing against the smooth levees that gave me human form. I knew these waters would not be denied.

I sensed the moment of your tipping like a seismic shift below us. In your eyes, I saw the moment those tectonic plates crumbled against each other as all of your desire burst into me like a cascade rushing over the edges of my failing levees. I felt a glow as you breached all that gave me shape and I shattered into a thousand glittering pieces around your erupting shaft.

I struggled against the current as if I were a child. I stared at the ceiling gasping for air again and again as your thrusting slowed and paused.

Then, all was still except for our shallow breaths filling the room. With your fingers, you began to trace my edges, placing all the glowing broken pieces back in place.

My lover lost his wife and continued to be faithful to her memory for at least a year. I try to describe how our first times together felt.
