I'm coming to realize that parents are a mess.
being one makes it kinda hard to swallow
but truth is parenting is a bitch.
and we just all are a big mess.
I think the world has made it easier for parents
to deal with real issues but I reckon thats only in the
past ten years.

I think that parents, like everything, have been improving all throughout human history, it’s just that we only have what’s recent to the current moment as a frame of reference.
And you’re right, it’s not directly the same thing, but it is indirectly the same. Which is the point, I think.
