Let it RAIN
When I'm down on myself again
When I can't go on
When my mistakes seem to be always the same
I will change the wind and let it RAIN
I will Recognize - what makes me afraid, angry, sad, hopeless
I will Accept - whatever it is that makes me feel this way
I will Investigate - how I can deal with it and make it better
I will Nurture - the best in me and love myself
This I will try
When darkness comes around again
I will change the wind
and let it RAIN

Author's Note
I just started reading a book about the RAIN method to deal with difficult emotions and situations, the method has helped me in the past and I thought I'd write down my resolve to use the method more in the future in this little poem. If you've never heard of RAIN I suggest you google "RAIN Tara Brach", though she is not the inventor of RAIN she has brought it to the form that I try to use, and as I said I find the method really useful.
