I came to you with zipped lips & open ears to show I wanted to listen  

You spoke of what you wanted & expected but wasn’t ready to give the same  
 
I explained the problem but I had to create my own solution  
 
You showed these cracks early but I stayed long enough to endure your pain  
 
You knew what you wanted & I gave what you needed  
 
For you it was harder than it had to be  
 
 You failed a class with the answers in front of you
