Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen!    
My name is Ashley M. Hardy, and I am running for President of the United States  
I’m back!!!    
And I’ve waited four long years for this day    
You don’t need an explanation to understand that ain’t shit change    
More Americans are still in debt    
The minimum wage hasn’t caught up with the cost of living yet    
Lead poisoning is threatening the health of our citizens    
Babies are getting sicker    
The sewage system hasn’t been updated in half a century    
The Criminal justice system doesn’t operate in strict fairness    
I wanna be your President    
Cause I hit the streets for real    
The fracture in the communication between the disenfranchised and the elite, rests within the hierarchies of power that don’t wanna see us on our feet    
The establishment doesn’t want us to acknowledge we exist    
But we’re here    
Immigrants are targeted,    
Treated like shit for self-gratification    
Damn shame America, when lady liberty stands with the inscription written on her tablet:    
“Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.”    
The last line sounds kind of offense, but regardless, we promised a sanctuary for people who were persecuted by their Governments    
Our education system is lacking, we’ve fallen behind from other countries in innovation    
‘Cause the curriculum is meant to dumb down the public    
When I’m your President    
We’re going to rethink what having power actually means    
If one person has the ability to persuade an entity to do its bidding    
Then it won’t do a damn thing for you    
They say: “You need to pull yourselves up by your bootstraps”    
“Tighten your belt and gain wealth the old fashioned way. With hard work.”    
Okay, so we’re the ones who are lazy, but y’all need massive government handouts to sustain.    
On top of all the profits y’all already obtained by laborers    
They say, that they’re the powers that be, when they’re actually less than a fraction of the population        
We don’t need anymore politicians, runnin’ their damn mouths about the same things that private citizens have been advocating for, decades ago    
My first day in office will be a coalition of everybody that was already out here bringing awareness to shit that got ignored, cause it's not sensational enough to be recognized    
You know how the media talks about "Who do you trust to answer that dire call at 3:30 in the morning?"    
Well, it doesn’t make sense to keep electing these 70-something geriatrics, who quite frankly just need a nap in the afternoon
