No object I

I'm not sure which bothers me more,
that my poetry
isn't that great
or that poetry
isn't written about me.

I think upon this with overly cooled temper.

Being so self-absorbed
and narcissistic ,
means I can at least
write about myself
if nothing else.

Still,
loves requires
a little give and take,
I hear,
from my solitary spot in the sandpit.
