in the hallow halls of darkness tread lightly
I could feel you penetrate my darkness and I wept
you felt my desolation, you know the woman inside
I splatter the walls crimson so you wouldn't see
I request you turn away
your glare in the deep truth turn me cold
chilled I shiver, you speak my name and I feel I would shatter
entranced by your vision of me
you open my mind and I wondered
my sin's confessions fell from my lips
you captured it all, the lies and deceit
and whispered darling I am like you
inside the sacred arts we are all dark
you welcome me in the silence
there I felt peace
a dawning of understanding overcame me
I was your harlot
I was good enough
I need not prostrate myself
inside your greed I am sacrificed
fulfilling your need I am resurrected
