Dark Revelators

Above the tide of cypress knees
and a stillness, half-asleep
of fallen trunks and leaves
but how deep is your zydeco
and slide accordion
in a standing pool of dark
and muddy water wine
touched by the mist
as the frogs' pipe
deep and slow
only the grey owl knows
whats down and below
like polliwogs with vertigo
revealing the dark revelators
and a corpse of a shadow
