she caresses his soul

she caresses his soul before he succumbs to another storm
seducing his senses  
with drawn out serenity
 
a soliloquy of suspense  
slaying every utter defence
 
he not defiant  
letting  
her soul come to rest
on ancient shards of distress

undressed
under a waning moon
forgiving what has gone by
in only her vast and open sky
 
confided in the contrast
connecting what all along
was in plain sight
pain perforating night
 
the beats, the heartbeats
and the breath  
slowed
as she sung him her song
long gone,  the feelings
that felt so wrong
