she caresses his soul

she caresses his soul before he succumbs to another storm
seducing his senses
with drawn out serenity

a soliloquy of suspense
slaying every utter defence

he not defiant
letting
her soul come to rest
on ancient shards of distress

undressed
under a waning moon
forgiving what has gone by
in only her vast and open sky

confided in the contrast
connecting what all along
was in plain sight
pain perforating night

the beats, the heartbeats
and the breath
slowed
as she sung him her song
long gone,  the feelings
that felt so wrong
