to somewhere, where absent & busy reside
too consumed to hear my words
of despair………desperation
Perhaps the terse conversation
was only in my head
or
caught up in a plethora
complicated thoughts
multi-tasking chores
and “what’s for supper?”
Barely out of hearing distance
I DID HEAR You, hear me
though faintly
by then You were well on Your way
to somewhereness
