A Vision of Affirmation
I walk toward the sun holding
an infant version of myself.
She opens her arms to me in joy and
excitement, and accepting of risk.
She reminds me that if we fall, we should
get back up laughing.
Her eyes sparkle with the
shimmering leaves of Aspen.
She is open to learning, emotions,
experiences, and people, come what may.
Looking into her face, I realize my past is
dead and I can never live closed off and cold again.
Holding her close teaches me to look for the
glittering of new light. I want to play, dance, and
fuck like a goddess!
I spread my arms wide to receive all that life offers.
