they left
all their belongings
at the door
(of their havens)
felt all their burdens
too much
what is a happening
many a fast paced
would never get
starry nights
and the hypothermic edge
cradle life in the desert
post dusk
it was said
that they said
it was
all
worth it
mundane and benign
not for them [to fill
fill their existence with]
fortitude
and solitude
were their
longitudes and latitudes
the archeologists
eventually
dug them up
hand in hand
buried deep in sand
