Darkness The Beginning
Darkness, the beginning
Underworld never light
There incense all bleeding ash
Sweeter by thickening night
She is fairer than other maidens
With green gardens in her hair
Carrying the scent of unplucked herbs
And the black rose that she bears
Her beauty is forever
And her perfume longer lasting
Eyes of heathen treasure
Lunar fire before the casting
Of spells omnipotent
Springtime in the evening air
Her song draws seasons to silence
And her soul between sabbats to share
Her potion by apothecary
Waiting in the ether for it's tasking
Tempering the waning sun
With ocherous moon for the unmasking
Of the fruit of her cauldron
Growing with shadows that descend
Supernatural trees
Beyond space and time is sent
Stirring with her branches
Shifting worlds beneath bottomless bowl
Into the realm her conjuring advances
External entities to behold
Bringing offerings to High Priestess
Magickal practice in control
Cursing, her midnight naked dancer
Crafting, the colour of her soul
Underworld never light
There incense all bleeding ash
Sweeter by thickening night
She is fairer than other maidens
With green gardens in her hair
Carrying the scent of unplucked herbs
And the black rose that she bears
