My Angel

An angel came
To save my soul
He sifted through the pieces
Trying to make me whole.
I stared in wonder
I’d thought no one cared
But he put me back together
With love to be shared.
My angel saved me
From the death that I had planned
He turned each problem
Into a grain of sand.
Nothing else mattered
My sadness was gone
As long as he cared
I knew I could move on.
Now I am happy
Like never before
I know it sounds sappy
But it’s never a bore.
So I thank the angel
Who saved my soul
His plan worked
For now I am whole.
