I will walk inside your footsteps
And let go of the desire
For acceptance from
Those who neither
Hear nor see me
Weaver of culture
I bear witness to
Your horn of plenty
The multitude of gifts
From ancestors before
To ancestors yet to come
Transmogrifying master
Surprise me again
With your magical manner
What I am now
Is different from what I will be
When you are near

This is beautifully composed my poet. I do admire anyone who give thanks to their ancestors. Lineage play a significance, in our DNA, those genetic codes of self does tell the world who we are and where we originated.
